It is a scam

A small truck pulled up and told me he had an order and the lady cancelled. He showed me what he said was prime meat and seafood. I’m usually not that gullible but I was that day. I’m a very good cook and when I tried the “prime” filets they were so tough I thru them out. Then I tried the shrimp and they were like mush. And the Tbone had absolutely no fat or flavor. I asked the merchant to pick up his boxes of meat and seafood. Even though their brochure states 100 percent guarantee please don’t fall for it. Lost $360! Biggest scam ever. They don’t answer the phone and who knows where they’re really located.

Do NOT purchase any meats from JDS Choice Meat!

Was sold 5 boxes of frozen meat, which was described as high quality. I paid $190. I tried the filets the same evening and they were horrible. I could not find any business information, (ie. address, phone number), on line. My credit card company provided a phone number. I tried to obtain a partial refund and return unused product; however, JDS Meats refused. This business is a scam IMHO

Fooled me once a year ago sold me some expired meat that was relabled. He had the audacity to come back to my neighborhood. Same guy with the black chevy pickup. I told him to get lost and he got in his truck and left. I called the cops and they said too much time has passed and advised me to call the cops if I saw him here again.

Beware of this door-to-door meat sales merchant. They knock on your door to sell you boxed frozen meats that they say are certified. The price is good but when you cook the steak, it’s rancid. They froze inedible expired meat and repackaged it to sell to consumers who could potentially get sick or die from food poisoning.

The claim that all sales are final and have no contract info it valid website to inform them.

They are violating the Federal Trade Commission 17 CFR Part 29: Cooling Off Period for Sales Made at Home or Other Locations.

They conduct business in bad faith because they are scammers. I didn’t pay them cash or indisputable medium. Got my money back from my credit card.

Beware of this merchant. The MO is to knock on your door and tell you that they had a delivery to a buyer that cancelled last minute and wants to see if you’d buy the cancelled order from him or he’ll be sick with them. Since the price seemed reasonable and the meats were frozen, you’ll assume it’s being sold in good faith. When you cook the meat, it’s rancid. It’s unsafe as it tastes expired and smelled bad.

Good thing I was no fool and used my credit card (NEVER pay cash, checks, debit, or Venmo). I filled a dispute and was credited my money back for this fraudulent and bad faith sales. They had the nerve to counter with a statement that I knew that all sales were final and no returns or exchanges allowed. Yeah…but if you’re a scammer and sell expired and rancid meat, that definitely supersedes their claims!

DO NOT BUY! IT IS A SCAM and you can get food poisoning.

We bought from these guys before (steak only), but this time we decided to purchase steak, seafood and chicken. There were over 160 portions ($450) and the sales person gave us some free stuff. Steaks were really good especially burgers. Seafood package was great: wild caught pink shrimp, tuna, salmon...And the chicken was super tasty (great marinades - sun dried tomato, bourbon, white wine and herbs...). We never had problems before and everything is guaranteed for 1 year (but it will not last that long ), so we will definitely buy again !

A man knocked at the door and handed me a flyer for quality meat. He talked fast and wanted to show me all the fabulous cuts of meat I would get. He showed me a box full of frozen steaks and a box full of chicken. In the end he kept up with discounts and buy one get one free offers until I said yes paying almost $300 for two large boxes of meat. He took payment on two separate cards and he offered to help put them in my freezer but as soon as the money was taken hurried off. As I started to unload the meat I realized a lot of it looked discolored. I tried to google the company only to find out there is no JD’s Choice Meat. The address listed is a P.O. Box. The number to call is a voice message service but they did call me back. Claiming to be a real company and not a scam, however they had no real proof of that. The guy had just left and I asked for him to come back and for my transaction to be canceled. They said they could not because due to Covid 19 all sales were final. They gave no website and no proof that they were real.
