The scammer pretended to be the President of a company I'm familiar with and contacted me by email as the company President. They used an email address that matched the company but was missing one letter! They even had the company's social media links in the email signature. I saw my resume had been downloaded on Linkedin and I trusted this person, so I gave my ss# on the job form he sent me. (I know, stupid!) Then the scammer asked me to have an initial zoom interview by zoom text where they asked me some normal job questions and asked for a copy of my DL which I sent as a photo. So now the scammer has my DL and SS#. I realized it was a scam when they tried to log into my Id.me account. I think they were trying to access my social security account. I reported it to the FTC.
