He told me the company would issue me a check for mobile deposit to cover my office equipment and softwares. The check was clearly photoshopped, but he insisted it was not. After stating that I would print it and take it to my bank for deposit, he told me "It is not a check to be deposited at a bank branch. It is clearly a mobile deposit check because it's printed out on regular paper. If you are being skeptical about the job position you can as well pass on the job offer." I told him I was disappointed and will pass on the offer. Please be careful out there!
