JaneVpups was a website claiming to sell pocket beagles. They only corresponded through emails and at first seemed legitimate, when my husband and I decided to purchase a puppy I was instructed to use the payment app Zelle to send $400 to Gage Jane-enrolled as Gage using the following email address: [email protected] I went ahead and sent the payment through Zelle and it came up as Gage Hilbun, Atlanta, GA on my debit card transaction. At that point, all emails stopped after the money had been transferred and I became suspicious. They were using stock photos from Google to advertise puppies that were supposedly for sale when I did a photo search and they appeared on other websites advertising the same exact puppies for sale. The phone number they gave me came up on google in another language and the address I googled was for a home that was listed on real estate sights. I contacted my bank and thankfully was able to dispute the payment because it was a scam. I also contacted Zelle to report the user as using the sight for a scam. I was fortunate in this case because I was able to get my money back but there are several people who have not been as lucky. I would just like to remind people to really do their homework and be cautious of websites claiming to sell puppies.
