I applied for a job on indeed, I received a message asking me to email my résumé to “Jane” at the email I provided for the scammer. I emailed and she asked me questions that seemed legitimate, like about my availability. I provided it, and she asked for my home address, phone number and carrier, and which bank account I use. I provided it. She also wanted to know any other email address I use. The reason I thought it was suspicious was because she told me she was going to send me a lot of equipment to work with, which I thought was odd. So I called the actual Jane’s teahouse in New Jersey and they were shocked, they told me that the job posting was not legitimate and to please report it wherever I can. I am terrified of what this person can do with my information and I saw on indeed over 1000 people also applied for this position.
