Jane Deal Reports & Reviews (1)

- Vineland, NJ, USA

I first saw an ad on Facebook for Jane Deal showing a clothing item for purchase, and, the website at which to shop for the item. I went to the website and found the item and purchased it along with 4 other items. It was a couple of weeks before I received the items in two separate packages-the first package of 4 t-shirts and the second of 1 sweatshirt. It became obvious that the products came from out of the country which was not stated at their website. The items are a very cheap version of what is represented at their website. Two of the items are stained and none of the items have Care Labels or labels identifying the fabric type as required by The Federal Trade Commission. In fact, the only labels on the items are at the neck line and state "Made in Vietnam" and nothing else. The shipping label on the 1st package stated 4 "100% cotton t-shirt for men" @ $12.99. I was actually charged over $20.00 for each of the t-shirts and they are clearly not 100% cotton or 100% polyester as stated at their website. Also, the t-shirts look nothing like the pictures at the Jane Deal website. I sent an email to [email protected] and received a reply asking me to send photos of the items which I did. I received a second email claiming the items were of the quality represented. I responded with a request for my money back and a shipping label to return the items because there was none included with the items and there was not even a return address on the package shipping labels. Jane Deal responded back saying they would give me 20% back and that I would not have to return the items. I responded "no" with a 2nd request for my money back and a shipping label. They responded back with a 60% refund and to keep the items. I do not want the items, I would not wear the items, and, every other legitimate company would just refund your money and allow a return of the items. The items are in no way personalized and they should have no problem receiving them back. After all this, I came to the conclusion that Jane Deal is not a legitimate business and probably a "bate and switch" scammer. I also tried looking this company up which I should have done before I ordered because I found a lot of complaints against them by other unhappy consumers. I paid for the order with my credit card which showed up on my statement as a payment to "Nguyen Tuan" through PayPal.
