I had put in an application online for a loan with a website called the lending club, which is in fact a real business. However, a few days later I was contacted by a man “Richard H***” who claimed to be with this business reaching out about my claim. So initially I didn’t think anything of it because I did in fact apply for a loan with a company that had that name. Right off the bat I knew the man I was speaking to was not originally from the U.S., simply because of his accent. (But I don’t discriminate so I didnt think I should be concerned) however once this man said he wanted me to take the money deposited into my bank account, transfer it from that account to my cash app account, and send it to somebody else’s cash app as a “Verification process” and then when I told them I was not going to do that he told me I could go to the closest Walmart and get a “lending club verification voucher” once I sent the money back then my loan amount would be deposited into my account!??? HUHHHHHH? No sir. Block. Delete.
