James Walker at first is very responsive. Gives a formal quote for the work intended and asked for 1/2 down to start the work. He agreed to a specific start date and timeline for the basement remodel project. After renegotiating only 1/3 down vs half he agreed. He did not start on time (~ 1 month late) but then began the work. His guys perform work that had to be redone because they did not perform what was in scope and missed items required. would never work full days was only 1-2 hours and only worked 7-8 days total if that. At the due date of the project it was barely started. He texts saying he will be right there and never shows. Agrees to meeting and never shows. About two weeks now of not communicating and not willing to return part of the deposit as he has only completed partial work not even worth the deposit provided. Very unprofessional not following through with a job agreed upon or even after resetting expectations never followed through with the work. The work performed is poor quality as well. I am now getting reports from his subs that he is not willing to pay them for the work they performed that he had hired them for and they are asking me for the money.
