- Charlotte, NC, USA

I purchased two sweatshirts off of their instagram page through their website, priced at $60 each. This was on the 2nd of February. Their website had just relaunched for black history month after first launching back in the fall of the previous year. The website was then closed due to high demand after their first launch. In their social media comments, it could be seen that their customers were upset with the long wait times of their orders. It was February, and many customers hadn't received shipping information, nor their actual purchase, since the first launch when they ordered back in october/november. Shortly after, I began to experience the same thing, with little to no contact with the owner, nor the team and months had gone by. I reached out multiple times through email- personal and business, as well as comments, and both the business page and owners direct messages on Instagram. The owner briefly replied the business hit a lot of bumps. I responded letting her know the lack of contact and regard was highly unprofessional. I asked then, when could I expect my purchase, and no response. Finally, in early June, after several months have went past, I received an email stating my orders had been refunded. I went to immediately check my account, in which displayed no sort of refund whatsoever. I then waited awhile, forgetting about the refund in its entirety, and then checked back a few weeks later. I scanned all of my bank statements, and nothing. I then reached out to my friend, who was literally going through the same thing to be exact, except his order was placed back in November and the brand claimed to have refunded him back in April after his multiple complaints as well. I told him I'd been scammed by the brand and to check his account to see if he'd ever really been refunded too. He hadnt. Basically the brand was launched, a few hoodies were made to give out to close friends/family, and then a website was put up to scam people out of their money and made to believe the business was going through a lot. They then proceeded to issue fake emails, with fake refunds but pocketed the money. Whats even worse is that the owner, despite the business being in shambles and customers orders never being shipped out, her page was linked to the businesses', meaning we could access her page and see her constantly posting, and traveling and going about her time but not responding to our inquiries about what was going on. Even after I realized it was a scam, I noticed she started a new business that was actually running smoothly. All of this to say that, what happened to me, happened to many many people, and it's unfair. The owner, Tallia Boo Lee, or "tallialeefiore" on instagram should be convicted of fraud.
