My elderly father was working on his home computer when a message allegedly popped up on the computer screen, alleging that his computer had been compromised with a virus and to call the number listed on the screen. He called the number on the screen and was taken advantage of by this company. The "IT Technician" offered to clean up his computer with a service agreement in place so my father could contact them at any time he needed help with a computer issue. Not for just one year, but for three years at $499.99 which was a better deal than the price of a one year contract. My father, having very little computer experience and trying to navigate life on his own after my mother's recent passing, trusted these people and gave out his credit card information. They kept him on the line for two hours while multiple men went through his computer. They created a contract for service with my father's name in the signature line, however, it is NOT his signature. His computer was so damaged after this incident that the hard drive had to be replaced. The "contract" was through Colorado Techie and the invoice was through IT Tech Global Services, LLC.

Victim was reading news paper article online and a pop-up appeared telling her that her computer was in trouble and contact the toll free number. She called them and they requested $299.99 as a one time charge for one year service and support. Sid asked questions around computer type, what the programs were used for, and questions to see what her computer was used for. Her husband spoke to floor manager. They attempted to up sell. He did pay them through PayPal the $299.99. Remote access was granted. They put in Webroot.

Said they would call back on Monday and they did and have repeatedly called back to get authorization for funds and they have not answered.
