A voice message was left on my home phone number (Thursday, April 12) saying that I had been under investigation for tax evasion for six months and that I was being taken to court for failure to pay taxes. I returned the call using a different phone and tried to ask who they were and why they were contacting me. They repeatedly asked me for my name, which I didn't give them, and finally hung up. The same number called and left a message on my home phone about an hour later. I returned the call again from a different phone and had a similar conversation before I was instructed to "hang up the f---ing phone". I asked again to whom I was speaking, and at that point the male voice (there was a great deal of verbal noise in the background for both calls) hung up the phone.
