My Mother in law has dementia, she received calls (that my brother in law intercepted) and said she received a back brace from her dr. We never received the back brace but received a couple statements saying we were delinquent on payment. My brother in law called said she did not recieve the brace. Also, When my brother in law was on the phone with them they knew ALL of my mother in laws information (Medicare #, address, birthdate, etc). So my brother in law thought it was a legitimate company. The company said he owed $1,766 since it was a delinquent, but then they said they would give him "credit' of $1,507.45 since he called.

What threw me off was their contact phone #'s never matched the correct area codes. Also, the websites I could pull up were taken down. and for the payment, there was no return envelope or online payment.

I pray that these people are caught and punished. It's one thing to take advantage of elderly, but someone with dementia just makes it 10 times worse.
