They said they came across my resume on career builder. I was sent a text message giving the company name and recruiters contact information being an email address and advised to download Microsoft teams app. They also provided a link which I clicked on and it took me straight to the chat with the man named Eric Alaniz in the text message is asked me to identify myself with a code that they provided. Eric briefed me on the positions I hired for and asked me to choose a position. I chose a position and he sent me all the info and requirements for the position. He then asked me for my name telephone number and state where I reside. Then he said I need to take an assessment which consisted of 18 questions. One asking who I bank with but not for banking info. They supposedly graded my assessment and I passed and from there they offered me the position. They indicated I needed certain software for my computer to conduct business as an employee of their company.. said they would be sending me a check to cover the costs of the software also a $150 sign on bonus to be deposited into my bank account. He also asked if I had a credit card in which they could add the funds in there instead of me waiting in the check if I wanted. I told them I didn’t have a credit card and he then indicated that if I used a credit card that they would also pay off the balance for me. He said to report next day at 8am. I signed into Microsoft teams at 8am this morning and he told me that they didn’t work with my current bank which was a online bank and that I would need to open with a local bank or credit union. And to contact them after doing so. He also sent me a welcome email consisting of 10 pages in which I needed to print read and sign and email or fax back to them. I then discovered online that there has been people impersonating this company name as a scam and at that point I contacted ScamPulse.com and then directed me to file this complaint
