I received a call early in the morning from a woman claiming to be investigator Carter. They stated that this was an attempt to get my signature for a pretrial court case, and that this was my final warning. As a previous victim of identity theft, I immediately hung up the phone. Then she called multiple people in my family with the same threatening messages. When my husband picked up the phone, she immediately hung up. I called our local court house and asked for a trial search in both my maiden and married name, to which nothing came up. The secretary in the court house told me they did not have anyone names investigator Carter that worked for them. This person was very threatening, it's worrisome that she had access to multiple phone numbers.
