I was contacted by phone sometime back, maybe about a year or so ago. A person saying I had been chosen to be in the international who's who of professionals as I was recommended by a colleague. I stupidly listened and fell for it. The guy gave a good sell using all the words to make someone like me, vulnerable at the time, wanting to feel important. It was a sort of interview about the work I was doing at the time, mortgage default vendor of services. He seemed to know about the role and how working with mortgage clients worked. And he hooked me into believing I would be featured in an issue of their publication.

He told me I would receive via email information about our interview to look over and make changes or approve.

All I had to do was make a one time payment for membership.

I would get a publication every year, a plaque of sorts saying I was a key member and in the spotlight.

Well I did pay for it then, to the tune of about 900.00. I never received anything. Time went on and I thought I'm a stupid sucker. Then another phone call about 6 months later. He stated, same guy, that they sent the info and I never replied. I told him, I think his name is David, that I never received anything, confirmed my email and he would have it sent. Again, stupidly I didn't take many notes and I should have. I was busy almost every time he called and there were more calls saying the same damn thing, and I was rushing somewhere so I just felt awful and told myself I wouldn't answer or hang up if he called again.

Well it seemed like it was a local call sometime after that and I answered. This time saying they had already so much work on my info, the website was almost ready, now I had not heard anything before about a damn site, then a video message as well with PR details to be released.

He snickered me again out of money.

I cried to my husband about how I didn't catch myself being taken.

So I had my card cancelled and closed.

Well now he is calling again. Again restricted number. I did answer once saying I'm not interested and the calls keep coming every other day.

Please do not call for it. It is a total scam,
