I received a call stating they were a company called ITS. International Travel service. They stated the vacation package I purchased needed to be completed. I said I didn't purchase a vacation and I'd like to speak to a manager. She connects me to a call center where a woman who answered is talking so fast and over the top of me. Basically stating I bought into a vacation package almost 4 years ago and I didn't go to the seminar as required so now if i don't pay for the package in full TODAY which is 498x 2..i will be charged 2400$. I asked if I could have something in writing because of all the scams. And that when I had it on writing and could verify that I owed this, I would be happy to pay for the vacations. She stated that's not an option, that if I don't pay the 997$ on this phone call then they'll charge me the full 2400. I asked for a business license number which she stated she didn't have access to, also when I tried to pull them up online during the call, she had to put me on hold to get the website address and then it was wrong 3 times. Needless to say I'm nervous at this point. So I keep asking questions. Why if this is legit and you have my email and all that you say..can you not send me paperwork pricing this is legit. She just kept saying if you don't pay the money now, as soon as this call ends you'll be charged 2400. I asked could I call her back on the number I asked for at the beginning of the call. She said I couldn't even do that..once She hangs up the offer is over. I stated I didn't have the 997 that I had 900..She was like oh no problem I'll take 897. Which I found ideas well. I was about ready to give a cc# after 45 minutes on the phone when somehow we got disconnected. I called right back and the number when straight to VM stating the Google subscriber is unavailable. Now I'm really nervous. I decide to call my bank fraud dept. To see if I did the right thing by being so cautious and with the phone number seeming invalid. As I was talking you the bank, I received numerous calls.. Approx. 15 from various numbers and names. My bank told me I did the right thing and what to do next. I don't understand...if its legit money owed, why have I received nothing in writing and why can they not send something if I say I'm willing to pay once I can verify that this is a legit debt owed?? Now I have to stress and watch my bank account for charges.
