I have reason to believe that this website is posting to be a car insurance rate compare website when in reality it is simply gathering information of consumers, which I fear is covering up identity theft as it also asks for your credit score. It was the first quote generator to do so. when you search for a specific car insurance ex. 21st century, which is what I did this website is the first to come up and even includes the Insurance Companies name and said to click to gather a quote from such company. after inputting your information it says it will compare several other companies to give you different prices but it doesn't. Once the information is completely input it just said check out progressive in the next window. There were no other rates or any rates or quotes for that matter which made it very suspicious. Once I went back to the website I clicked on the BBB sticker they had on their website but that took me to your website with a different company name, Hometown Quotes with the current address on insurance step website. I found this even more suspicious. after calling both phone numbers on both business listing there is really no option to speak to someone. insurance step´s number will simply say it cant help you after selecting every option and the other only allows you to leave messages. I was attempting to call to request they delete any and all information they collected while I submitted the online form as it didn't provide the services it said it would and shouldn't be coming up with the name of other Insurances , as this gives the impression its affiliated with official website but it is not. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter as I would hate for them to continue to mislead consumers and continue to gather information falsely. if you could advise me on how I could proceed with addressing my situation as I have attempted to contact the company several times and have not had success. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else! this is very misleading and unnerving!
