Dear Better Business Bureau,

I am writing to file a serious complaint regarding a harassing and inappropriate experience I’ve had with an individual who contacted me after I submitted my information (name and phone number) on a website to receive insurance quotes.

He initially called to offer insurance, which I politely declined, explaining that I had already found coverage elsewhere. After I told him that he was being “pushy,” he became defensive and inappropriate. Not long after, he called me again from a different number and said, “you can’t escape me.”

During this second call, he began to harass and insult me, calling me names and mocking me with comments like “grown man trapped inside of a little boy’s body.” Even more concerning, he made suggestive remarks about my personal life, including referencing my age (27), as if he was trying to intimidate or threaten me by implying he could track me down or find me.

So far, he has contacted me from at least two numbers:

• 571-363-4105

This behavior is not only unprofessional but escalates to harassment and feels threatening. I am requesting your help in investigating this matter and identifying the individual or company responsible for this conduct.

Please let me know if you require any additional information or evidence, such as call logs or screenshots.

I went to a car dealership , bought a car, they helped me set up everything right then and there, license , registration & insurance. I financed the car & I paid for my insurance. First payment to get the insurance started was $1,400, they gave me my insurance brokers information & told me monthly zelle him the payments. a couple of months go by of a few $300 payments. by the third month i could not make the payment so I let the insurance broker know. he cut off my insurance. about a week later I was halfway able to get my insurance back on to get back on the road. originally he upped the price for the inconvenience but then agreed to settle on a price of $400. I paid him the $400 via zelle. he sent me a PDF file with my renewal information, after a few more weeks going by my original phone broke and all my info was gone, while getting my other phone to work i contact the broker to be sure of having the file resent to me, from there he refuses to send me any information and demands for more money to be sent in order to do so. claiming he never renewed anything.. When calling and texting to find out where the conversation changed into juicing more money out of me he got outrageous and unprofessional with me and my girlfriend. I kindly asked if there was a possibility for the mistreatment of a client if he'd just send the last payment of $400 made back and completely disregard the insurance policy , however from there he gets hostile & blocks all access from me and my girlfriend to contact him. This alarmed me so from there i decided to call the insurance themselves and they have told me that the whole situation is fraud and how he is not an actual broker. He registered my name and information on his own as a regular individual and his whole business is a fraud. We had then been informed by Desha from progressive that he does not work with nor for progressive. He used my information to start insurance , collect my money and dispute the charges for me to receive policy information and left me uninsured. I went to the police station to make a report and was told that I have been wrongfully mislead this whole time.

A woman called and said she was from Medicare and wanted to verify my supplemental insurance, she had my name and the month and year of my birth, and she asked what insurance company I used for supplemental and what medicare code it was listed as. Then she said that my insurer was going to be calling me to offer better coverage.

She said we needed to set up a security code, and then asked for my mother's maiden name. At this point I knew she would have someone call me and try to get all my Medicare and banking info, so I told her I knew it was a scam and hung up.

Grigat Insurance 708-680-7477 went ahead and wrote up a homeowners insurance policy for me without my consent or my signature. We cancelled the insurance last year in October of 23’ because AAA had broken ties with the company they put our homeowners insurance through. Their insurance increased almost 100 % so we switched to Geico. This year when we renewed with Geico we received a letter shortly after from AAA with policy for payment and that it was sent to my mortgage Company for payment. I called our mortgage and told them not to pay if they got a bill because we did not renew with them.The mortgage Co. Told me the payment hl Geico had been made. They noted the other policy so they wouldn’t pay. Then about a week after I got a call from the mortgage asking if I had switched insurance. I explained that nothing had changed and verified the correct name of the current insurance we have. I was asked to call AAA to cancel and find out what happened if I didn’t request it. I called Grigat Insurance to ask about it since the insurance policy I received listed them as agents. They would not answer after a few attempts I reached out to AAA and finally spoke to someone that helped me by stating they had a policy with no signature. They sent me a copy. Anthony Grigat was agent who sent it without signatures. It was a fake policy that he sent in without telling me or my authorization.

Recieved a letter stating TransAmerica and they had a life insurance policy under my mother's name.  Gave my social security number.

An unclaimed POD insurance policy: of over 10 million , owned by a Dr. M with the same last name as mine. Claimed to be a Covid victim, includes info about insurance codes, wanting to add my name into the policy and share 90% of the amount after 10% goes to charity.

Unable to confirm business exists. Included Barrister&Solicitors under initial name, includes “lawyers “ name/ email as a partner [email protected]

No Alpha law firm was found on ScamPulse.com search page. Barristers was found but the phone has been disconnected. Afraid to check other info as it could pose threat of hacking/ virus …figure since other can’t be confirmed and sounds to good to be true, it must be a scam.

***** ******* ***, a 21-year-old male, and two unidentified females arrived at doorstep ***** * ****** **** ****** ** *****) stating that a resident at our address qualified for free insurance through Florida Blue due to income information. We knew that we were recently in contact with Florida Blue Insurance, and initially thought that this was a legitimate representative of the insurance group. However, as the interaction continued, more discrepencies arose in their information, their credentials, their identification, and their tactics.

No real names were shared by these individuals--the badge worn by one young lady read only, "Trainee." The pamphlet/flyer given to us provided no information on how the insurance would be granted and contained typos, formatting errors. The Instagram page and phone number provided linked back to an Instagram page with first post made in May 2024, and we recognized a friend of our neighbors as an employee pictured on the website. This prompted questioning on how they found our information, which they stated, "it was in our system." They requested that we provide a video and verbal consent in which they would record us on our phones saying that we consent to the terms of the insurance. At this point i closed the door, did further research, and eventually turned them away. I failed to see the vehicle that they left our residence in.

A search through Hillsborough County Records revealed two traffic citations as well as date of birth for the individual.

A search through Sunbiz for Officer name ***** ******** Jr. or for the proposed business name were not located in the corporate affiliation database.

The leader of the scam operation at our door has been confirmed to be a Mr. ***** ******* *** of Fort Lauderdale, FL, born ******** **** **** He attended ********* High School where he appears to have played as a runningback for the varsity team. His father is *** ***** ******* **. who appears to reside in McDonough, GA.

A man in a grey Taurus with a pushed in back bumper arrived at my mom house. He approached her home while I was there and asked to speak with my mother and I told him she was out of town and unavailable. He said he represented "Colonial Pen" which is her insurance company. He claimed he needed to verify more information on my mother and her insurance had changed and he wanted to go over the new policy with her. I assured him she wasnt home and once he left I called her insurance to verify if a person would come out and they told me no. It was very weird and I dont know how he got my mom information. Claims he is going to come back next Tuesday.

The name of this scamming person is David Cunningham his phone number is 678)900-8986 he sold my elderly friend health insurance instead of car insurance my elderly friend all ready had health insurance my elderly friend was driving around thinking he had car insurance and didn't i witnesses mr Cunningham asking him for the make a model and year of his car so my elderly friend was most definitely scammed by Mr Cunningham selling him health insurance instead of Car insurance please share this can not continue to the elderly also a business man that needs his car insurance now he's having difficulty getting all because of Mr Cunningham scamming methods put my elderly friend difficulty BOND

I didn't answer the phone when they called. But the message said they're calling with an important message about my pharmacy coverage through Aetna (which I don't have). They also said to enter my 10 digit phone number as verification when I call back.

The service offered is for Part C Medicare through Global Health. I've been a member since January 2023. Every quarter I'm suppose to receive $100 of benefits on a debit card to use for groceries. This is the 6th time I've tried to use my card for groceries. I have called numerous times to get help through the Global Health website and by phone. I have a complaint filed with the state insurance licensing board, and finally heard back from Global Health. They said the issue was corrected and to try my card again. At this point, I have $200 on my card for groceries per Global Health. I just went to Walmart to get groceries and the card was declined AGAIN!!! This program is a scam to get the elderly to buy Part C Medicare through Global Health.

Continuous calls from different phone numbers for the past week. Sometimes when I return the call it goes to a recording, most times it goes to a non-working number. The last one was ********** Waco, Texas. This one identified itself as Maverick Insurance Services but could not take the call as all agents are busy. When I looked Maverick on line, it says it’s out of Louisville, Kentucky. Here are a few more numbers they have called from: ********** Keenesburg, CO, ********** Colorado Springs, ********** Wellington, Fla, ********** New York, ********** Pagosa Springs, CO. The list goes on & on.

we thought we were calling Brystal Myer Squid for Eliquis when my husband reached the donut hole for insurance. They represented themselves as that company. They sent the medication and should have stopped in December. when it came out again in January I called Brystal Myer Squid. They said it was a third party. We would have paid $0 through them.

We are getting calls from this number looking for me to provide information about medical accounts and other information. They claim to be from Etna, they have also said they have changes to my medicare/medicaid which I do not have. The people on the phone sound foreign and would get upset when I wouldn't answer all their questions. They would even curse too when they would get mad for me not giving information.

A person calls me multiple times a day claiming her name is **n. They tell me I can change my families insurance. They are always calling from different numbers and never give a business name.

A person from this number called me to ask me about my insurance. I asked who they were with and they gave some insurance company name. I have insurance through my sister, I do not know how they got my information.
