I went to the Houston ER to be tested for Covid on Wednesday, Jan 5, 2022. A woman approached me outside the building to offer help. When I told her my Medicare had been discontinued accidentally the end of May, she said she couold help me get it back.Ii have struggled with Social Security for 7 months about this. Anyway, she said she was a verteran and helped people with this kind of problem all the time. She almost whispered while talking and then once I was inside, and filling out paperwork, she quietly came up to me and handed me a note with her name and phone number and the name of the non-profit organization, Institute for Peer Support. She told me to call her the next day.I don't know if this is a scam, but maybe it could be checked out. It was all very strange.
