I rc'vd a call from 909-821-4748 stating they were from Southern California Edison. They left a recorded message that my electricity was going to be turned off in 30 minutes and to call 800-476-4140. I called that number and spoke with Juan Garcias. He stated he was a floor supervisor for Edison and he needed an immediate payment on my account. When I asked for info on my account he said due to my account being up for disconnection he could not pull up any information, which I thought odd because I just paid my bill a week prior. He advised me that he would cancel my disconnect and for me to not contact Edison, he would contact me on Monday (3/9/20) at 1p.m. to remit payment. I called Edison today and walked through the automated system and that is when I figured out the scam. I googled the 800 number that led me to this company. Yelp also has a review from an Edison customer outlining this very same scam.
