We lost a cell phone at SFO, and when googling “san francisco airport lost and found” we were immediately redirected to this site. So it seemed legit. But after paying $40 we haven’t heard anything or gotten any emails whatsoever. Very disturbing.

I lost my cell phone on the plane on the flight from Montreal to Istanbul. I discovered it missing at the Istanbul airport and immediately picked up the phone to a friend to file a claim. As soon as I Googled "Lost and Found Istanbul Airport" I was taken to instafilereporting.com. After filling out a detailed online form requiring a detailed description of the lost item with name, address, email, and contact phone number, I was required to pay a $39.00 fee with my Visa credit card number, expiration date, and PIN. As soon as I paid I received an email from the fake agent saying that the item was not found.
After getting over the stress of losing my phone, I became suspicious of this site, googled it and saw that there are many victims of this scam. I have had no results or news from them for 4 days, they don't respond to emails, their "company" address is fake.
On top of all the problems, I am now forced to cancel my credit card because they will surely abuse it as well

This site claims to locate your lost items at TSA Airport Security Check-points. The site pops up when you google TSA Lost and Found and looks legitimate. However, after you fill out a detailed online form requesting detailed description of the item lost with name, address, email and phone number to contact, it requests a fee of $39.00 from your Visa Credit Card account with number, date of expiration and PIN, I received an email from the bogus agent reporting the item was not located on the TSA Lost and Found database. I decided to follow up and call TSA Covenant Aviation Security Customer Service Lost and Found and discovered my lost iPad Pro was actually there. The day before I called, I received an email alert from my bank reporting a suspicious charge on the same Visa credit card I used to pay the InstaFILE fee. I cancelled the card. I believe this bogus site is not only charging fees to unsuspecting victims, but hacking their credit cards as well. IstaFILE must be stopped immediately and Google must do a better job of vetting sites posing as TSA.

Instafile is a scam

My wife left her laptop at Heathrow airport and we went on line to find out how to file a claim. The Instafile website popped up first and looked official so without checking I paid $35 and filled out the form. We never got anything from Instafile except for emails stating they were looking for the laptop. We finally contacted the heathrow lost and found and got the laptop for a small service fee. Instafile never found anything and it is a scam.

my husband landed on this site and also got scammed. Same story, credit card debit 34.99. We received an email as though they will look for our item. We are canceling our credit card from fear of more abuse.

Their website came up as soon as I googled "Ft. Lauderdale Airport Lost & Found" which I thought was related to the airport. Filed a claim and they charged me $34.99. I have been unable to reach anyone there, and I have not received any information from them. Appears to be a scam.

I received no promised services from Instafile. The company charged fees, did not contact me, had no phone number posted for me to call, and did not respond to email. Instafile contacted me 2 days later congratulating for me finding my lost item (while it has not yet been located) and offered to refund partial fee for work that have not even been initiated. Will not use Instafile services.

Pay to report lost property at airport or airline and they don’t do anything they say. They literally don’t do any of the services they say that are supposed to be provided.

Airports and airlines have them on their radar and are known scammers who recently changed their name because of same scam complaints.

We are opening a class action law suit against them for all the people who have been scammed. Airline and airports lawyers said they estimated over 1 million in sales that was purposely tricking their customers into believing they were actually airline air airport.

From what I was explained by lawyers was that there evidence collected by law enforcement is more than enough to prosecute criminally but airports and airlines want a big headline showing they had no part in this and want to see customers reimbursed.

They have there financials from old website and I hear the number will make you sick. Not one person can legitimately take the stand in their defense.

Apparently google blocked them from advertising but by lying and creating a new account it goes against their policy. That fine alone is 6 figures.

By letting them operate they are putting themselves into a worse charge because of the money their scamming everyday.

Everyone who got scammed will have their day. By maw all merchant services provided had to be turned over.

I’m sure they know all this already and must be getting bad advice from counsel.

We’re all going to have last laugh when this person is embarrassed and paying for the rest of his life.
