Also I want the party to be 4PM-8PM at your venue, I will want you to make booking with a Jazz band who will be entertaining my guest, As they are my Family's favorite.They will be coming with their full team and I will like to hand over every other arrangement to you and regarding the payment, the costs of the venue including the band fee should be sent to me in a pro-forma invoice to be paid in advance with my credit card, once the payment is done, get the band fee settled then the date can be booked as soon as possible.

Scam of music venue/restaurant

This scammer has been previously reported, same email sent to me...Same scam that they would send a payment and then we would settle with the band, and obviously the payment would be a counterfiet check.

This person solicited my establishment claiming to want to celebrate an event with us. He asked to include, in the invoice, the price for plated meals, an open bar, plus the cost of a "Jazz Band" his family loves, and he would need them to play for them the day of the event, however, our establishment would need to include the price of the band, plus the cost of the full food and beverage service in our invoice to him, which would be charged to him PRIOR to the event. This is not something that is the norm, you would say, in the events business, mostly because payment is usually completed day of the event due to delivery and completion of services clauses.

I have identified many scams in my time in the restaurant business, and the manner in which this is more of a demand and the method in which the band would have to be paid within an invoice from a restaurant establishment that claims no liabilities for that band, sounds shady and fraudulent.
