I am a student looking for my first job. I had applied to some jobs on linkedin ( https://www.linkedin.com/company/innate-biologics-llc ) is the page for the fake business. I was contacted to my email account linked to my linkedin profile and asked to do a web based interview / test for a position as a data analyst. After completion I was told I did well and would be contacted the following day with a final decision. That was today. I was sent an offer letter with a very legitimate looking job contract and then told that I would be sent a check to buy some specific home office equipment. Obviously this seemed unusual to me but they were good at making it seem relatively standard. I did a bit of research and found that for logistical and legal reasons a company would never do this. I also found several videos and articles about these types of scams. Anyways, I didn't take it any further I am currently waiting for them to send me the fake cheque but obviously will not be depositing that into my bank account. Here is a list of the email accounts which contacted me: [email protected] / [email protected] and [email protected]
