I then got a follow up email from Infrastructure Solutions Group, with the email as “[email protected],” saying that my application had been received. It was as follows:
"Hi [my name],
Thank you so much for your interest in Infrastructure Solutions Group and for taking the time to apply for the Data Entry Operator - Remote position. We just wanted to let you know that we received your application, and that we're looking forward to reviewing it.
Have a great day!"
BambooHR is an actual legitimate company, but this website was disguising themselves as BambooHR very well. They used an almost identical logo, but it was just a little bit off. The website domain seemed like it could be part of BambooHR, but wasn’t the exact thing. Even the words on the bottom of the website are very similar to BambooHR’s actual website. And when you click on “Terms of Service” on the bottom of the fraudulent website, it links back to the real BambooHR Terms of Service. One main thing that was wrong with the first email was that at the top, where the image header was, it had a fake BambooHR logo (at the time I did not know it was a fake logo) and then the words, “COMPANY LOGO HERE.” I dismissed it as a coding mishap or a simple mistake. (The “COMPANY LOGO HERE” ‘mishap’ was then on their website as well.) To be clear: BambooHR was being impersonated.
I was then sent another email the next day with directions to schedule an interview. It was from Safron Mary, using the same email, [email protected]. It was as follows:
“##- Yes! You can reply directly to this email and Safron will get it. Just make sure it’s above this line so we can read it right. -##
Thank you for your application. We appreciate your interest in the Infrastructure Solutions Group. We have received and reviewed your resume submitted on indeed for the Data Entry Position, If you are interested and would like to proceed, Please read carefully and follow the interview instructions below,
Hourly pay of $24.95 per hour.

Before applying, I had looked up Infrastructure Solutions Group. There seemed to be a few legitimate companies with that name or a similar name. That should’ve been a sign but I didn’t do more research because this hadn’t ever happened to me so I wasn’t expecting this to be a fake listing.
I combined the PDF versions of the three websites listed below into one document since it looks like I can’t upload more than one document.
