They attempted to pressure a relative of mine to give a donation of $25 over the phone after they asked her questions which they would not let her answer.

Called and asked about Trump's progress. Asked me to "agree" or "disagree."

It was a woman's voice on the call and she said the call was being recorded. She stated the name of the organization as votethewill.org and that they were doing a one question survey. She asked if I approved or disapproved of President Trump so far. I didn't even think twice about answering affirmatively because of all of the political surveys going on. I'm sick about it now. She didn't ask for any personal info or anything like that but I'm worried about that recorded answer.

Asked me to answer yes if I voted in last election

Masquerades as political phone survey. Some victims claim that they are being recorded saying "yes" and that that recording will be used to authorize later charges. Seems a bit sci-fi to me, as utility and phone companies don't check my voice against a database when I call, so there should be no need to have MY voice on hand. Other victims claim that the scammers later call back asking for a donation.

Caller asked to record my response and only asked if I had voted in the last election and if they could call in the future with other simple questions.

- Redmond, WA, USA

Robocall asking to answer a specific "yes/no" to whether I voted in the last election. The caller coughed/sneezed and asked again. This was an attempt to record my response and replay it later on.

"John" called from "Informed Electorate" and asked if I would take a short non-partisan survey. I said "OK." The one question was "did I vote in the last election?" I answered "yes." He asked if I would be willing to take future similar surveys. I said "OK." He asked for my name. Finally, I started to get suspicious. I said he could tell me my name and I would say if that was correct or not. He said they would just ask for the lady of the house when they called. I asked for the organization name and website again. I googled in organization and saw that other people had found this to be a scam, and that requests for money would be in subsequent calls. I'm also concerned that I said "yes" (to the survey question).

Asks if you voted in the last election

- Milwaukee, WI, USA

Asked if I voted in the last election. Asked permission to call again.

- Sparta, NC, USA

Caller asked if I would take a one question survey about election. I said yes, then questioned them about what they did after he then asked me if I would answer a monthly question. I realized this might be related to the "say yes" scam I heard about yesterday. When I continued to question him, he kept evading me. I told him no, I would not take a monthly survey and hung up. Now concerned he recorded my yes for nefarious reasons.

A man named Nate calls and asks one or two questions about who you would vote for in the election. He calls back a couple of times and then on the 3rd call he explains they are a grass roots org and is very pushy to get me to send a donation, and to pay with a credit card or check over the phone. I refused and told him to send me information about the organization and let me research it first. I haven't received it yet, but I have received the online pledge.
