The scammer contacted me by email saying the puppy I was interested in was $550 plus an additional $200 for shipping. I seen their add on the website I was looking at and just inquired about the puppy. My husband who is disabled had just lost his dachshund and was very sad so I was looking for a puppy. I wasn’t too sure about shipping animals so I checked everything really well. These people are really good they are describing themselves as Christian’s and every link was connected to a link that looked so professional. I called the number and asked the guy some questions about the dog. They sent me pictures and videos of the dog. I agreed to the terms because everything looked legit. I sent them the payment. That night I received an email and a text message saying the dog was being shipped from San Jose California. I was supposed to receive the dog the next day at 5:30. The next day came and I received an email from a so called express delivery service stating that the dog was grounded in Houston Texas and that the crate the dog was in was not acceptable so they had to purchase an air condition crate for the dog to ensure it’s safety except that I would need to send them a $1200 deposit that would be refunded once they got the crate back. I then suspected it was a scam because none of this was mentioned up front, but only when the dog got to Houston. I then get a message asking if I got the dog and my answer was know so he wanted to know why not and I told him the story that I typed in this message. He then tried to convince me to pay the $1200 so the dog would not die. At this point I told him I believed this was all a scam and he got very agitated with me and tells me he would pay $600 if I paid the other $600. I told him he wasn’t getting anymore money from me unless the dog was shipped to me. He then begins to act like he was so worried about the dog being grounded in Houston. I offered to go get the dog since we didn’t live too far away but they wouldn’t give me an address or phone number to the delivery service but that everything was done by email. So I told them and the fake shipping company if it’s a live animal that I paid for why couldn’t I go pick the dog up and again the answer was that it wasn’t at a delivery service you could go pick them up at. I stopped responding to them but the messages kept coming all day on Sunday April 9,2023 I finally just blocked them from my phone and refused to answer anymore emails. The guy claimed his name was Eric A**** from San Jose California but his phone number indicates that it is from Miami Beach Florida
