I have been job searching pretty fiercely since April 17 - this scammer sent me an email saying I was to have an online interview that would take place over email - I had to answer some interview questions - none of which had social or bank information just information about how I would design a project and my process. (I am applying for web and graphic design positions) I answered the questions and submitted them. I was then told today that I'd received the job and they sent an offer "letter" that had conflicting information in it - it wanted me to go out and purchase a bunch of equipment to do the job but then said that the company would send it to me. They also wanted me to send over a check and a form of Identification. I looked up the biz online and I saw that there was a number associated with the company. When I called it to verify important details and questions I had that needed answers before i went any further, the person told me he's not hiring, that someone is using his name and company for a scam.
