Someone using the name Taylor Fritz responded to my posting of a home theater audio system. He offered to send a cashier's check to pay for the equipment. At the last minute, the he tells me the check will be for $2,890 which is more than the purchase price of $600 to cover estimated shipping costs and asks that I wire back the difference after I deposit the check. At this point I smelled a scam. I was not going to obligate myself to pay money to sell my item. I told him I was not going ahead with the sale. He had already mailed a check which I did not deposit sensing this was a scam. Other than the initial call when he said he wanted to buy the system, all communication was by text. The last communication was a text from him asking why I canceled the sale. I did not respond. The check was from the Bank of Coushatta in Choushatta, Louisiana.
