I applied for remote job on Indeed.com and was messaged to respond to said HR manager if interested to discuss further. Initially was set up for interview without being told how interview was being conducted. Started receiving emails asking for personal information, promising interviews but never followed through, insisting I needed to verify identity with proof of residence SS card and ID before actual interview. I became suspicious when I observed 4 different private email addresses coming from said person. I made mistake of sending my credentials, so now they could be using it to steal my identity. I have since refused to further verify my identity, as said person claims she needs verification before I’m accepted for job.I also tracked down the real person to which this fake manager is impersonating. The real person confirmed she did not post a job on Indeed.com and has reported the incident. I’ve also reported this to Indeed.
