While searching Google for a deep freezer, an ad for a GE freezer for $57 was next to the walmart ad. I clicked on it..saw all of the trusted safety locks appropriate for purchase sites (ie. ?? Paypal and others) Decided to move forward and make the purchase. I entered my credit card information but forgot to create an account first (BIG MISTAKE)! Once my info was accepted I had no way of getting back to the webpage if it timed out! I waited for the promised email of my accepted payment & order confirmation, but it never came. I tried to get back to the site, but I was not a member so I had no record or history of being there! There was no customer service for me to contact! I knew immediately that I had made a mistake and tried to cancel the transaction but it was pending so that was not possible. After a few days, i was forced to cancel the card altogether since the transaction stayed in pending status, but finally DID go through. I was able to get the bank to trace the original SQUARE merchant who stole from me. So be CAUTIOUS EVERYONE! ******* ******* ***** ***** ** ***** ***** ** ***** ***** ********

This is the person who is defrauding people online and stealing their hard earned money using the SQUARE mobile reader! BEWARE!!!

They said a customer wanted a refund in the amount of $811.21. I contacted the real Square and they said it was phishing.

If you sent a receipt to your customer, you can send them a refund receipt at any time from your in-app activity or Square Dashboard:

From in-app Activity:

1. Tap Activity.

2. Locate and tap the payment > New Receipt.

From Square Dashboard:

1. Visit Transfers.

2. Use the date selector tool to locate a specific payment.

3. Click on the payment > Send Receipt.

Sent a warning that a withdrawal would be made in a couple of days from my “SQUARE” account...then 2-3 links to log into “my “ account, enter my info, etc...

No links were clicked in the email so the attempted scam was unsuccessful, but this email initially looked legit as if it was from Square, a service this business uses for payment processing. I am reporting it so that others know not to click any links.

Received an email from them pretending to be Square Up telling me i accepted payment from a card ending in 1554. They were asking if i wanted to deposit now.

We received a request to pay on an delinquent Square account in our name. We do not have a Square account. We do not owe on this account and we have never been contacted by phone as stated in the letter.
