Called stating they were from the Social Security Administration and that my card had been stolen - that it was urgent I speak to them. I did press the "1" after the first message to see if they continued to state my card had been stolen.

Ridiculous!

- Houston, TX, USA

On January 27, 2021, I received a call from a strange number 11861174019 at 4:05pm. A man named Mark Johnson said he was from the Social Security Administration and my social security number will be suspended. He said they found my fingerprints at a crime scene along with crack cocaine. He also said I had 2 bank accounts open and a car that was on my records. I don't have either of those things and I don't do drugs. He said I stole the car. He then told me the police were coming to arrest me.

Then they called me twice from 210-963-4404 at 4:16pm and then again at 4:17pm. This is a fraud. The police told me to block the numbers.

The call was an obvious recording that told me to hit '0' to speak to someone, warning me that there's a warrant for my arrest, related to my social security number. He said he was calling on behalf of the Social Security Administration.

Received a robocall call from this number, telling me that my Social Security number has been compromised, and that I needed to press 1 for more information. I did not press 1, rather I hung up the call. The call started out that I had to press any key to accept an "incoming enterprise call," which is what the Mitel phone app does when a business call is coming through. They called on my personal number - not my work number. I never had to press a button to receive a call on my personal number.

They called me and said my social security number was put on hold due to an investigation by the FBI and if I did not respond I could go to prison. She asked me to verify my name and social security number and I told her to go jump off a bridge, she then hung up

- Milwaukee, WI, USA

I have received 20 calls in one day from this number. It wants me to call back and give my social security to someone at a call center because they say my social security has been locked due to weird activity.

- Green Bay, WI, USA

Called me and stated; we are informing you of fraudulent activity alert by you. I am in Wisconsin. Wisconsin as with all agency of SSA always send certified letter delineating such a claim. And never demand ransom.

- Pickett, WI, USA

I received a message on my phone stating it was the social security administration and that I needed to call immediately or my social security number would be suspended. I did not call back as I realized it was a scam.
