I have received several calls from someone claiming to be from Spectrum Cable, offering me a senior citizen discount, and help in lowering my monthly payment to Spectrum. The man that called said his name was Mark Wilson, his ID# is 4016 with Spectrum, and the phone number he provided was 1-575-810-8331. My caller ID showed Wisconsin caller ID phone # 634-9017.

He claimed to reduce my monthly cable, phone and Internet cost, because I was a senior citizen, he wanted my birthday, a credit card number and my email address. He claimed he would send me a new DVR, and regenerate my monthly bill, like what is advertised on TV for new customers. He spent a lot of time claiming to be a real offer from Spectrum. When I refused to give him info, he gets rather nasty, and demanding. He had my address, phone# and other personal information that I never provided, so he must have hacked my phone, or computer etc.,

I called Spectrum to see if this was a valid offer, and they said it was a spam. I have received a least 5 spam calls claiming to give me a senior discount.

Customer received a call from someone impersonating "Spectrum" cable offering an $85 promotion for 2 years wanting to install a cable adapter box in her home. Customer provided name and address information. When she was asked for her birthday customer hung up. The caller also wanted to know if she was working or on a fixed income.
