I received a call saying that I just won the second prize for a monthly drawing of $95 million. They made it sound as legitimate as possible all the while trying to sympathize with me with covid regulations, scams, needing an ID to claim the prize when they knock on my door, government marshal delivering the check and escorting me to my bank as well. They even said I needed a governmental approval stamp. They used the names of all USA government agencies etc that will be assisting, including the BBB. The big red flag was that he knew what type of card and exact amount that I purchased just the night before. And asking for the 1% of the amount which he told me was $699.38 that was needed. I kept him talking enough to get as much info from him including a New York number for me to call back. Original number was from Jamaica. He even gave me a confirmation number and another number code.
