Imposter Medtep Inc Reports & Reviews (1)

I received an email from Eardley Choroski ([email protected]) on 7/8/19 inviting me for a job interview for a Data Entry/Administrative Coordinator/Administrative Specialist/Administrative Assistant and Customer Service Position at Medtep Inc. The email explained that I needed to contact Medtep's hiring manager through Google Hangout & was given a verification code for the interview process. The name of the hiring manager was Darlene Polston ([email protected]). I contacted Mrs. Polston on 7/8/19 & provided her with my verification code. She provided me with the job requirements, a description of the company (https://www.medtep.com), the pay, method of payment, administrative assistant responsibilities/duties, training, benefits and went on to interview me via Google Hangouts. After completing the interview, I was told that I was hired. She explained that I would be provided with office equipment at no cost to me & the company would be sending me a check for the purchase of all working equipment that I would be purchasing form the company vendor. I was asked to be online the next day at 10 am to receive instructions by my training supervisor on the use of the software and the duties of the job. Then I was asked to send my full name, address, email address and cell # to [email protected]. I was online the next day 7/9/19 to chat with the training supervisor. His name was Mr. Stanford Picht ([email protected]). He first asked for my full name and mailing address for the mailing of the check for the purchase of the office equipment. He said that he had my employment letter & asked for my email address. I received a Medtep Employment Application & Employment Agreement by email. He asked me to return the completed documents to [email protected]. I completed the employment application and agreement including my social security #. Mr. Picht said that he forwarded the documents to the company head department & congratulated me. I was asked to be online the following day at 8 am to update me on the exact day that I would receive the check for the working materials. I contacted Mr. Picht the next day, 7/10/19. He said that the check would be mailed out & I should receive it tomorrow. He proceeded to email me my first training task. I was given three self-evaluation questions and asked to send in my findings in MS Word format, not less than 500 words for each question and 1500 words in total. I completed the task and sent him the responses. I was then asked to contact him via Google Hangouts the next day, 7/11/19. I contacted him the next day, 7/11/19, at 7:00 am & he checked the status of the check. He asked me to check the tracking # at fedex.com. The check was scheduled to be delivered on 07/11/19 by 10:30 am. At about 10:24 am, I notified Mr. Picht that the $4900 check had been delivered. He asked me to deposit the check using my mobile bank app & let him when the check had been deposited. I deposited the check and emailed both him & Benjamin Chwartz ([email protected]) a copy of the receipt. Mr. Picht asked me to send $1000 to the vendor, Frontier Communications, through Zelle to [email protected]. My husband stepped in at this point and refused to send any money until the check has cleared. Communications ceased. I have copies of all communications. The check did not clear, and I was charged a return check fee the following week. Our bank called us for details regarding the fraudulent check.
