This is just a word of caution to anyone looking to borrow or take a cash advance. If a company or representative from Lending Club Corp contacts you, DO NOT do business with them or hang up immediately. They are trying to use the LendingClub name to sucker people in. Funds were deposited to my bank account last week and I see that a pending deposit return is being processed today (just 5 days later). After the funds were "deposited" to my account the representatives and accounting department advised that I needed to send money back to them via prepaid cards (Google, Apple) to improve my credit score and finalize the full amount of the loan/advance. I knew this was a SCAM based on the info they gave me... luckily I caught it in time. Also, look out for anything from a place called Turner Acceptance Corp. (https://www.turneracceptance.com/) Their name was on the funds that were deposited. I called and e-mailed them and got no response. They may be in on this loan/cash advance SCAM as well. Finally, I did speak with the REAL LendingClub in San Francisco and they were most helpful. Thank you.
