Imposter Golden State Capitol Reports & Reviews (1)

Two people purporting to be employees of Golden State Contacted me through LinkedIn claiming to be the hiring manager (Will no last name) and Elle Morgan (Payment Department) and offered me a position as Customer Service Representative. After what seemed to be a legitimate interview they said that they were going to send me a check so I could purchase proprietary software from your vendor to install on my computer. Which I thought to be rather odd. They then needed me to purchase a time tracking program so my time for the company could be logged and I be paid accordingly. They requested a $500 payment in Bitcoin. I told them I don't do Bitcoin. They then wanted a money transfer. They refused to give me the vendors name for a direct purchase the entire time. It was after the "We are willing to do a Money Transfer" that I told Will that legitimate companies don't require perspective employees to purchase programs or anything else and terminated the conversation with them.
