They called my wife to let her know that our electric service was set to be disconnected at 1 pm that day unless we made a payment. I had made a payment in january so it was odd. He said our account had a hold and although the bank reflected the payment, it hadnt actually been applied to our EP Electric Acct. I had to make refundable deposit in the amount of $492 in order to remove the hold. I could make it over the phone or go physically to a CVS. But he wanted to stay on the line while i made the payment. Also, I told him i couldn't make that payment unless i transferred but he said he could take $320, then i said at the present time, disposable i only had $140 and he said we could do that through our bank. By then it appeared fraudulent. I checked my bank statement and the EP Electric payment transaction did appear. I checked my EP Electric account and the payment did show it was made with just the next payment due in February. So clearly it was an attempted Scam.
