I had applied online to receive a Personal Loan. I got a phone call from someone names James William and he stated that I was approved for a loan between $5000 to $20000. We had worked all the details out and then he stated that because I don't have a high credit score that they would need insurance money in order for me to get the loan. They would deposit the insurance money into my account and then I would use that money to purchase gift cards to give back to them as payment. In my defense, I have been behind in payments and bills and the money seemed like a dream, so I just went with it. I should have followed my instincts. Anyway to make a long story short, we came to a few problems and they had to do this a few times which is why I lost so much. The day that they were suppose to give me the loan money the check that they had deposited into my account got returned. That's how they got me. After that check was returned I kept calling them but they kept turning it around saying that it was my fault because my credit is so low. I ended up going to the bank and reporting it. Now instead of paying my bills I'm more behind. Initially I tried looking up the company, Credit Karma USA, but all that would show up was the credit score company. They even used their logo, I guess that convinced me more that maybe they were legit. I was wrong.
