Hello Chime I would have fallen into it if there wasn't so many mistakes but I am afraid not everyone will catch on. I was contacted by a scammer saying that he was with Chime. The scammer said I won $2022 from the IRS in a sweepstake and he would need all of my personal information to obtain the funds. Please see the attached.

Please warm your fellow members

Thank you

they sole 300 dollers from me and are making false reports on my credit after i closed my acount and wont refund me

I Received and email from Chime welcoming me to my account, which was never opened by me. Then immediately received an email telling me of an email address change. In the email, I was referred to as "Robert". I never opened an account. When I called, I was told since my name was not on the account, they coudn't give me any information. They also said they dont open business accounts, yet, my business email was used to open account. Why at the very least, was there no email verification prior to opening account. I also sent several emails to the company. That was yesterday, this morning I received an email saying the account was closed, which is good, but how did it get opened in the first place? I was also told that because its a deposit account, it doesn't matter. Well to me it does. I've already been through an identity theft situation, and as a "banking" institution, they did not perform their due diligence.

I entered the Chime sweepstakes on Instagram and then I received messages from a member of the Chime team named John Willis. After messaging back and forth with him he told me I won the sweepstakes to give him the code Chime had just sent to me. I did considering I must have won because how would he know chime was sending me a code? I was told chime would be depositing the money into my account then the next message I received was from chime stating my phone number had been changed and if I did not make the change to call chime so I did - that is when I figured out I was locked out of my own bank account. So I tell the man on the phone I can't get into my account and he says ok well you will have to contact chime by emailing at chime support and you will have to send us all these different types of verification to prove you are who you say you are. Now it is late at night when this takes place and I had 5 grandchildren to take care of at the time so my anxiety was bad needless to say and I worried and stressed considering it was the 12th of December and so close to Christmas and I can't even access my account. But the thrift sure could all the way up until the 23rd of December if I remember correctly so when I get back into my account I see charges I did not make and I contact chime and I send them again everything they ask for only for them to deny me my dispute of 512.that was charged the night that I called Chime because my number was changed it was used for Hong Phuong Hotel now I live in Arkansas I had no access to my account I had no card for my account but who ever accessed my account was given a temporary card by chime is what I was told by a chime member but still I was denied my 512. back from chime .

For one, chime was sued for always shutting down their services online or card usage at any given moment due to system failure or hacking. Then, my account was confiscated and compromised by attempting international charges blocked! I tell chime to close my account they said we can’t do that! In 2019 june 11, I had an impersonator claimer named vicki Wilson who claimed to be Hr looking for people to work from home-after a long convo- she asked for my Id w9 DD etc after agreeing she work for a co called Accenture in atlanta! After trusting her she was a fraud. Vicki never contacted me again! After reporting the incident to chime they said I cannot change my checking account number! So I kept it open that was the only acct I had then. 2 yrs later I noticed someone took out $400.98 from my checking acct-on 4/3/2021. I had my card on me never loss. They used the chk info at a ****** store online apparently not in person. Again, I file a case with chime they denied me? No good reason! No reason sent via email nor mail!! I file another claim and complaint each time in a year! Again, nothing ! Yesterday I finally get a name mgt Ann Lee @chime 9/21/2021 who says check online still denied or resend the docs I sent prior too- I submitted claims from June to August this year and haven’t heard back what type of business and services are chime running! Then my credit builder card suppose to help increase my credit score - as they do not report the balance it’s my own money I’m using . So they report when our bal reduced which suppose to increase your credit and it does. However, once your balance goes down further it will automatically take away and be reduced by your credit score points by 30-50

Points. Right now I have a bal of $103 prior too

That I had a higher bal and my score increased by 10-20 pts. Chime sent me a metal card for the builder which never worked to get activated! So I kept the one on. When you call them about (mostly people answering the call is from Philippines and india ) they have no clue on how to fix

Anything! Please help me bring them down. I’ve filed police record and with FTC.gov 139991112 report number

An out of network ATM was used with a Chime card in which someone from Chime called an said someone was trying to purchase something and wanted to verify if it was myself.

I bank with Chime. The scam is that they place a bogus charge on your account by using a large company that offer poor customer service. A company like Microsoft that you will never be able to get in contact with anyone to find out why your bank account was charged. I had a $108.24 Microsoft charge on my bank account with chime. I disputed the charge and sent screenshots to Chime showing them my Microsoft account. I didn’t have a subscription and they didn’t even have my banking info. Nor, did I have any billing history. They want me to fill out a temporary loan to cover the money during the investigation. Borrow MY money. I feel like they will come back and say I lost the claim. Now I owe them MY money. What a SCAM! I’m suppose to be FDIC covered.

I got chime because they said they would update my credit and raise my score. I recently find out that they haven’t updated my payment history and what’s more, when I called today, some guy in the Philippines picked up and did not know what any of the 3 credit bureaus were: trans union, Equifax, or Experian. When I tried patiently explaining he stopped talking for 3 minutes. He then asked me repeatedly what I want. I patiently tried to explain how a company like chime should know what a credit bureau is if they are advertisement about their credit builder card revolves around it. The man on the phone then hung up on me. I have no choice but to believe I have been scammed by this company, paying a fee to fill up my card and use it when it is not even doing what they advertised it would do.

I bank with Chime. I follow chime via twitter. On September 22, 2020, I get an email from chime via twitter (their account has a check so it's been verified) they tell me I won the chiming sweepstake. Chime DM me via twitter saying I won & to verify my chime email, I did. They told me to send a code they just sent to my phone, it's the code I'm gonna need to use. A minute later, my account was stolen. They send a transfer to Joshua B. & they blocked me on social media so I can't warn people

I received a Visa Debit card in the mail with my name on it, which required that I activate the card. The paper work indicated that I had a bank account opened in my name. When I contact the customer service number on the card to inform the company that I did not open a bank account, I was not able to speak to a live representative. I was instructed to email by an automated recording. When I emailed the bank I was informed that I needed to send a copy of my drivers license and last four of my social in order for them to provide me with any assistance. When I told them that I was skeptical, they insisted that I needed to provide that information in order for them to provide me with any assistance and I still have not been able to speak to anyone regarding this matter of identity theft.

This number called me 3 times claiming to be a representative from Chime Fraud department and tried to get personal information from me. The only way to contact Chime is through their chat or email. The last call I called them out and he called me a stupid *****.

Earlier today I received a text message asking if I had authorize the transaction in Georgia I live in Minnesota. I responded back to the message say no and that was that around 615 central standard time I got a call from Chime who’s number saved in my account so that’s what popped up on my caller ID asking again about this transaction I told them no I live in Minnesota I don’t live in Georgia they said OK well since you did not authorize this transaction we are going to close your account and send you a new card which was fine and I’ve done this before so it didn’t sound suspicious but they did ask me to change my password on my account all the while they were sending me text messages to verify my account so I’m confused on how they could do that if they weren’t really Chime. After the initial phone call I went to check my bank account to make sure that that transaction did not go through and that my card was off. When I say that I mean I have the ability to turn my card on and off so I can authorize the transactions that I want to go through my card was off but I noticed that my balance was wrong I look on my recent transactions and someone sent their selves $2000 for Rent! It was a Chime member because their name popped up on my account I did not authorize this transaction I don’t know how the hell they were able to take money out of my account with my account was off and I turned around to call the bank and they said they were closed At 6:40pm they close at 7pm it was nowhere near that time so it’s making me think that someone from Chime did this. I am going to wait till the morning to call to see if they can reverse the transaction but if they can’t it’s gonna be a real problem I’ve already filed a police report and I’m not sure how this works with prepaid debit cards but I need my money back this is complete BS!
