Received robocall from CenterPoint(Caller ID shows Centerpoint) claimed my services would be disconnected in 30 minutes. I pressed 1 to speak with a Rep. Told me they platform changed and i received correspondence indicating that. Keep in mind, my account is current. They wanted me to sign into my bank account and send payment. I asked how much I had to pay, they said $500. I would get my money back immediately as soon as it is verified and on Monday someone would call me. They could not keep their story straight. I asked them what account number they had for me; not my account number. I asked them the address; not my address. I told them send someone out to disconnect because it was not my house. A are minutes later, I received another call from them. I cursed his [censored] out an he hung up on me.

These people scammed my aunt. They called in Houston, Texas at 9 this morning. The number is in Deer Park, Texas.

Number showing Centerpoint (and matching their phone number) called with a notice of disconnect within 45 minutes. They then transferred me to a billing department but I started questioning their legitimacy since I don't directly pay Centerpoint as my electricity provider.

Very convincing scam. Stay alert.
