A gentleman name "Robert" from a company called imarc audits called saying that our mortgage insurance contracted his company to ensure that all or our mortgage information was correct. He had some personally identifiable information including my place of employment, which could have been found by doing an internet search of my name. He said he just needed to verify some information and would only take a few minutes of my time. I asked for some verification that his story was factual. He said he would send an email from our mortgage insurance agency then continued to ask questions. I said I am not going to answer anything until I had some sort of verification. He promptly said, I have enough information, I'll send that right over" and hung up.
