I used the website apples to apples ( https://www.energychoice.ohio.gov/ApplesToApples.aspx) to get a new supplier for electric and gas. Everything went smoothly, however I got a call from 1-330-349-2085 gentleman claiming to be "Mathew from illumination co" and told me it would be $99.00 to make the switch, I told him I would check with a family member and call him back. I called the company who we switched to AEP, and they stated it was a scam. They said they would report the number, but I wanted to report as well.

A gentleman named Edward Daily contacted on the behave of Illumination company stating my services were due to be Shut off today if I didn’t make a payment of 198.75. Gentlemen stated I had to pay by Zelle so dispatch can receive my payment right away to keep from disconnecting. I made payment they had my account info and had the illuminating company music

Phone call about disconnection of electric service due to non-payment. My account was paid, but they claimed it had not been received. Tried to get me to send money via Zelle. Then texted a bar code instructing me to go to Walmart and have them scan the bar code and pay the bill. Fortunately the clerks at Walmart told me they couldn't accept anything like this.

I received a call from who they said was The Illuminating Company and that my services would be disconnected in 30 minutes for an address that I don't even live at they wanted my address and when I told them they should have it already they hung up

I keep receiving calls on my home phone from someone claiming to be with the Illuminating company. The phone numbers in my caller ID are always different. Their phone number is 216-471-1576. 216-699-8476.216-344-6531.216-483-2692. I pressed number one to speak with a representative. They were offering a $50 gift card because I pay my bills on time. The caller said he worked for The Illuminating company. I called The Illuminating Company and reported it. The Illuminating company told me this is a scam.
