I’ve been applying for jobs via ZipRecruiter, recently got an email saying a job was offering an interview with Julie Stevens. We conducted the interview via Skype text chat the following morning (today), a series of relevant Q&As but no video/voice call. After about 20-30 minutes, the interview concluded and she said she would let me know in 20 minutes if i’ve been hired. She followed up saying I had been hired, but all materials for the job will have to be purchased by me through a check that will be issued to me through the company (next red flag). Finally she said I would get an email from HR offering employment requiring me to sign the sheet, then send my i.d. Ssn card, and the signed offer letter (Red flag). I submitted all of these things and confirmed via Skype chat and she asked if I have another payment option for the check to go to for office materials although I never gave her any banking information in the first place. This was extremely odd to me. Upon checking the email that I send my documents to, I noticed it was “[email protected]” which another user posted on this website as well. What can I do?
