Received a very threatening call/voicemail about a collection, garnishment and court. Called the number back and the lady informed me the collection was about a credit card opened in my name in 2010. I expressed that I was unaware of the debt and would like documentation to prove it. She then stated I could dispute and go to court or settle the debt outside of court. I told her that I would still be forced to pay money I had never used. I also asked if they had a website and she asked why. I told her I would like to see their business website and she stated it was called, IFS and it stood for nothing. I tried finding them on the internet and nothing exists. She stated that my job would be notified so my wages would be garnished. I expressed that I would like to dispute and she told me her manager was in a meeting and that I should try calling in an hour if no one called me back.
