It was a VIN report scam. I tried to sell a car through autotrader. This scammer asked me autokarvin report. I already had carfax report which is widely used VIN report by all dealers. I showed him this carfax report but this scammer wanted to see a specific autokarvin report as he doesn’t trust carfax report. He said he would pay the extra cost by purchasing autokarvin report when he buys my car. So I bought the autokarvin report and showed him. After the fact, he doesnt even show up nor answering the phone but he just disappeared. I realized this was a scam and even my credit card information was stolen. Unrecognized paypal payment was made in my credit card. My paypal account transaction history doesn’t show up this transaction. This scammer used my credit card information to his paypal account and used it.
