Call came in identified as by caller ID as ICCU. Caller gave me his name and employee number, he explained he worked with the ICCU fraud department, stating fraudulent activity had taken place on my account; asking if I had made any transactions in Texas. I had not. In order for the transactions to be "stopped" he sent me verification codes on my cell, that I was to repeat back to him to authorize to stop the transactions. What this was doing, was giving the scammer authorization to use ZELLE money services to send money. The caller kept requesting more and more information such as address, my user ID and my debit card number. I hung up and went immediately to the bank, only to find out that two transactions had already taken place, using those authorization codes I had repeated back to him.
