I signed up for the Microblading training certification course with her. I originally inquired via email on her advertisement on eventbrite. Her description of the class promised hands on informative training & certification for Microblading. After emailing her several times asking questions, I paid a required deposit of $800.00 via credit card. In addition to Microblading training she was offering a dual class for Lash Extensions training starting on October 20, 2018. The Lash class was held by another business owner that partnered with her for the training. The Lash class delivered what was promised by the other business owner. The Microblading class however, held on 10/21/18 was a scam. I arrived at 10am as instructed. She was unprepared & exhausted. She briefly went over a PowerPoint presentation she had. She gave me on sheet of practice skins with one example of the three types of brows. I practiced for about 30 mins before it was time for a live model. In her advertising for the class she promised extensive training, marketing information, how to start your business, how to get insurance, none of that happened. I was told I would be practing on a live model. I was not after 30 mins of practice on a sheet, never doing it before I was not ready for a person & I made that clear. She had not went over mapping, color matching, or allowed me proper guidance on my practice skin. The model for the Microblading I provided. It is a friend of mine. The instructor wanted me to observe her mapping out the brows on the model, matching the color, & doing the hair strokes. After she did the mapping f color match the model laid down and the process began. I did not touch the model at all. The procedure went horribly! The original lines she drew to map the size and shape she wiped off after the first pass. She free handed them back on! She completely butchered the models brows beyond repair! Worst demonstration of the proper procedure to Microblade. One side bigger than the other & completely uneven. She obviously didn’t know what she was doing. I immediately expressed concern. She kept making excuses, whenthe model saw her brows she was so upset, she practically ran out of the room & I followed. The whole so called training was NONEXISTENT! I left knowing nothing. I expressed all of these concerns to her. Asked for my money back and she declined, said I wasn’t trained and given a certification. The so called certification is just a printed piece of paper anyone could print off. Matter of fact she printed it off at Staples. No seal, like the ones of previous students shown on her website. The section where the student name is was not typed, just hand written in with my name and date. Clearly a scam! I have before and after pictures of the model who’s brows she butchered as well as all the emails of what I was promised and proof of payment.
