Received a text regarding a job opportunity and that they had found my resume on Linkedin. Instructed to download Telegram. Had an "interview" over this platform. Subsequently completed seemingly authentic hiring paperwork; submitting my social security card and driver's license for i9 verification. Scammer impersonated 3 employees of Hydrowatt AG, based in Switzerland. Used names/pictures found on Linkedin to impersonate these people. Did not request bank account number, just which bank I use and the deposit limit. Wanted me to deposit a mobile check for home office setup. Was asked to complete essays regarding job-related topics and sent PDFs with instructions on Hydrowatt letter head. Received another text regarding a job opportunity and became suspicious of this one.
