We looked into this site 5 weeks ago. We had lost our GSP and were looking for a pup. Several emails and texts were exchanged. A phone call was extremely important in realizing the scam. Difficult to understand the conversation, English must be a second language. They wouldn't answer questions. They wanted payment in way of Visa gift cards! We could just take pictures of the front and back of the cards! Ya...that's a big no.The same pictures are up 5 wks later of the pups they are offering and they haven't aged a bit.

I was looking for a new German Shorthair Pointer online when this came up on the Google.

When i was ready to purchase the puppy i asked for the business license, etc. They ignored my request. Then i went online looking deeper and found that this place is fraudulent and has been reported. Saved $800 looking closer. Be careful.

I almost bought into it and then became very suspicious when i couldn't get a business license from him. The dog i wanted was beautiful. I diubt there are any dogs at all. Should be shut down!

Contacted about a German Shorthair Pointer puppy named Maya. Received a well written email in response, along with photos of the puppy. I noticed first off that each photo the puppy was in a different background—usually when breeders post photos, the puppy will have the same backdrop with different angles. Each photo also showed a different side of the puppy, and we saw 3 different collars on her throughout the photo series. When I responded to that email with questions of my own, the next response I received was very poorly written, obvious grammatical errors, like how someone with English as a second language would write—nothing at all like the first email. Plus they did not answer any of my questions. They also referred to “shipping and home delivery” of the puppy like it would be FedExed to my door. When I responded asking for them to answer my questions, I received very short answers. In their ad, they had shown that the puppy would be AKC registered, so I asked them if they were registered with the AKC as a breeder, which they responded yes. When I searched the AKC website for GSP breeders in Lawrenceville, GA (where they claimed to be located) and nothing came up. So I asked how I could find them in the AKC registry, to which I still have not received an email in response to that.

I recently had a similar experience regarding the second email re: grammar errors and did not answer my question. I asked why they would remove the dewclaws as they mentioned in the first email and they did not answer. Interestingly enough, the pictures that they sent with the second email showed the puppy WITH his dewclaws! they stated they were located in Massachusetts. It also stated, "Delivery is the same day. You will be having the puppy with all its papers, toys, food stuffs ,hand booklet and puppy crate." Really? All for only $850? After the second email, I Googled them and came upon this website. Thank you for saving me money and heartbreak!

We were looking for a new dog, found a breeder that had the one we were interested. Site was huntingbackgroundshorthair.com. we contacted them through email [email protected], they asked us typical questions you'd get for adopting a dog. So we didn't think anything of it. Dog was in Georgia we are in New Jersey so we said we would drive to get the dog (12hrs away) they responded with we need a deposit of $450 out of the $650 total price to reserve the puppy for you. we sent through Zelle. They were reluctant to give us a phone and an address. we finally received an address of of 2750 Springrock Hill Trl, Lawrenceville, GA. They noted they were on a farm, but this home is in a residential community. Gave us a google phone number of 678-723-9093. I called left a message, they called right back, the individual on the other end of the phone could not remember our email chain back and forth, but knew the dog I was referring to, he had a thick foreign accent, could have been of African descent. Would not provide me with the breeder American Kennel Club registration or Puppy ID with the AKC. I searched the domain registration on icann.org the website is registered in Iceland created on 7/4/2021 with a mailing address associated of Kalkofnsvegur 2, Reykjavik, Capital Region 101, IS. The website IP that I was able to trace bounced back and was being hosted in Kansas, but am not talented enough to pull a user IP.

I was given the name Pete Carter and email [email protected] to send the $450 Zelle payment.
