Was looking for a miniature schnauzer where online found this website hunterridge miniature schnauzers ask regarding of puppies available they had one that I like the name was Zara we exchanged emails in regarding how much the puppy was and what I need it for the deposit I was told it would be $650 for a deposit Alice asked to spend the money through cash app I was told once I send the money they will let me know where to pick the puppy up the next day I received an email that I would have to have $3,000 to pick the puppy up from the airport this is something I was never told I need it to have so I just asked for my refund back I have not heard from them have constantly send them emails they have took their website off the internet and I feel like they should be reported cuz that was $650 that I have lost and this was done at the end of May and now it's July

Would not answer or respond to phone calls only email. Would not FaceTime or video chat with puppy so ensure trust. Stopped all communication with me once I requested video of puppy.

My husband and I were looking to buy a puppy. We found Hunterridge miniature schnauzers in NC. We are located in NY and got in touch with them. I had various people in the Pet industry check out their website and it all seemed legit. We signed a contract, sent initial money and all seemed fine. Fast forward to the day we were supposed to go to the airport to pick up the dog. We got an email from the breeder the morning of and said they were at the airport and flight confirmation would be sent soon. Shortly after we then we got an email from premiere pet flyers (which is another scam) that they wanted $1000 (to be refunded) for COVID testing and life insurance which I thought was weird. I called the breeder and he said they use them all the time. Simultaneously my husband was googling premiere pet flyers and came across a forum where someone else recently just said this was also a scam. While I was on the phone with the breeder, I typed in the "tracker information" from the email and nothing came up. When I told the breeder this, they said "really? it's coming up for me." And within four seconds, magically the site had the information up (which didn't have it the previous three times I checked). I said to him that I saw online this was a scam and someone was pursuing legal actions against him and he said he would find out what the premiere flyers are doing. He hung up and then the second he called me back, I received a second email and it said to wire payment to Charlotte, PA. I asked him why is the money was going to a different person's name than his and why it said Pennsylvania. He got frustrated and said "Pennsylvania? No that should go to Charlotte, North Carolina." He said let me call and see. At this point I was sure I was being scammed but picked up when he called anyway. He said that "there was a typo" and I received another email that said NC instead of PA but the names were the same as prior. Having it sent so quickly after I hung up the phone with him confirmed it was a scam. I said "I'm beginning to not trust you, and I believe you are a scam. I want a refund." He said, "so you don't want the puppy? You have to trust me." I then said no I don't want the puppy (I doubt there was a puppy to begin with). I then looked harder on google and found someone else had the same experience, however they had sent the additional money. Upon further investigating it seems they were originally going by the company name "haven miniature schnauzers" and had to change it because people were catching on to their scam. I called my bank and I'm waiting to file a dispute. The "breeder" also stopped answering their phone once I said I wanted a refund.

This is supposed to be a legit seller of miniature schnauzers. The person named owner and his accomplices will draw you in with cute pictures and a long process of checking to se if you are a good family for their puppies and safe shipping process. Don’t fall for it. Nothing ever ships, and the seller/owner also works with a fake shipping company called Premier Pet Flyers which are a fake and will take you for additional thousands of dollars. STAY AWAY!!!
